Eliza Cinteză (Romania)

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eliza Cinteza is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest (2000). She followed the internship program, residency (Pediatrics), the second residency (Cardiology), following in parallel the university stages that allowed to reach the current position of Associate Professor in Pediatrics at the Emergency Clinical Hospital for Children "MS Curie" being named Pediatric Resident Coordinator since 2015, later Pediatric Cardiology Resident Coordinator.

Training in Pediatrics, Cardiology, Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology, Congenital Heart Disease was perfected during scholarships and study visits at Policlinico San Donato (Milan, Italy, 2007, 2013, 2014), Evelina Children's Hospital (London, UK, 2010 ), Bad Oyenhausen, Germany (2012), Bambino Gesu Hospital (Rome, Italy), “Orsola Malpighi” Hospital (Bologna, Italy, Pulmonary Hypertension, 2015), Memorial Children’s Hospital (Warsaw, Poland, 2017), Lund University Hospital ( Lund, Sweden, 2019).

Areas of interest: hypertension in children and cardiovascular risk factors (Doctor of Medicine 2009), Interventional Cardiology (initiator and promoter of the National Program of Interventional Cardiology for Congenital Cardiac Diseases in Children, nationally certified in Interventional Cardiology, so far over 150 interventions as first operator), pulmonary hypertension (research grant of UMF "Carol Davila"), congenital heart disease (European Certificate of Echocardiography in Congenital Heart Diseases), transesophageal ultrasound (National Certificate), Vascular Ultrasound (National Certificate), general ultrasonography (National Certificate).

The experience gained contributed to the editing of the Essential in Pediatric Cardiology and to the writing of over 30 book chapters, over 90 articles, over 80 invitations as a lecturer at national and international courses and conferences, 14 awards obtained for papers presented at conferences.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eliza Cinteza is currently Chairman of the Working Group on Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Cardiac Diseases of the Romanian Society of Cardiology.
