Antonis Pantazis

Dr Antonis Pantazis is a Consultant Cardiologist and Clinical Lead for the Cardiomyopathy and the Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions Service at the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals in London.  The service covers all areas of the Inherited Cardiovascular Conditions, from foetus to adult, from the genetic diagnosis to deep phenotyping and from medical treatment to advanced interventions including a state-of-the-art interventional programme for the management of Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction in Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. His clinical research is focused on the clinical phenotype of cardiomyopathies, such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy, Dilated Cardiomyopathy and Non-Compaction Cardiomyopathy, their genetic causes and the use of cardiac imaging for the clinical evaluation of the diseases. He also has a special interest in heart conditions in athletes, who may present with cardiomyopathy. Dr Pantazis is the Chairman of the nucleus of the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases.
